Zilla Panchayat and Taluk Parishad are getting ready to go for Polls on Dec 26 and 31st 2010.

This election are very critical for all parties in the state, which may decide the fate in the next upcoming election in the state. With Land Scam, mining scam pushed on the BJP, BJP striking back with revelation of similiar done during the JD (S) rule.

It is win-win or loss-loss situation for both the parties in these elections.

ZP and TP Polls details for Dec 26 and 31

375 ZP and 1340 TP wil go to Polls in First Phase Dec 26.

Second Phase will involve 638 ZP and 2318 TP in 18 Districts

12,981 Polling Booths in first phase and 20072 in second phase

Over 1300 booths considered hypersensitive, another 1300 booths marked as sensitive - consitute 20% of total booths

Election to 43 ZP and 155 TP in Gulbarga district will be held on Jan 1st as High Court guidelines

total of 13,652 civil polic personnel of various ranks deployed for election bandobust in first phase and 14,233 in second phase

150 platoons of KSRP are deployed

11,540 HomeGuards in first phase and 15000 in second phase
