Illegal Mining is present in Karnataka says BS Yeddyurappa

Lokayukta has played an important role in identifying the illegal mining happening in the state and presented the report in the Supreme Court.
However, CM BS Yeddyrappa always denied about the allegations of illegal mining happening in the state.
After the Supreme Court has issued order stating the CEC investigating, CM BS Yeddyurappa made a U turn with accepting that YES, there are loops holes and they are working on taking necessary action in order to curb the illegal mining in the state.

| Posted By: Sonam Posted Date: 20 Apr 2011 | Blame Game on illegal Mining in Karnataka The blame game has started with BS Yeddyurappa throw the ball in the court of Congress and JD(S) who had made the mess or started the illegal mining in the state.
He mentioned that illegal mining started in the year 2003, in the mineral rich Bellary district. His party has been working hard from 2008 to curb this illegal mining in the city. With opposition party requesting for a CBI probe who investigate in illegal mining issue, Yeddyurappa mentioned that there is no need for CBI probe instead a committee can be organized and look into this issue.
CM BS Yeddyurappa also blamed the central government for not acceding to his demand for a ban on iron ore exports.
