St. Anthony’s Boy’s School which has memories stored to most of the prominent personality in Bengaluru city is now ready to say Bye-Bye to Bengaluru city.

History of St. Anthony’s Boy’s School

A school which has history of 109 years started a by Nuns from Good Shepherd Sisters in 1901 has now decided to closed with the last batch going to out this year. After which the school will be turned into University for Girls.

The school bid bye bye on Feb 14, 2010 which is exactly 109 year back when it started on Feb 14, 1901. Some of the aluminis from the school include Rahul Dravid, Nanda Nilekani, Anil Adrin, Irfan, Rizwan Razzack and many more. The current student will be moved to St. Josephs Boys High School. The current building will be used for PUC training and under privileged section of the society for training.

Some fond memories of old Alumini

Once the news was out of St. Anthony’s Boy’s School getting closed, most of the old aluminis were shocked and started recalling the fond memories associated with the school. Their teachers, principals and most of the student still visited and met their teachers who are still apart of the School Staff.

Rahul Dravid shared his memories of School - “I remember eating tiffin in the school, and eagles snatching away our food” said Dravid. He said that the school had helped him grow out of the shy boy that he was into the confident man he is today. “A lot of us will come to show our children this is where we studied even after the school is long gone” added Dravid.
