Aadhar UID Documents needed during Registration Process
Aadhar UID now becoming a mandatory card for all major services, be it gas, telephone and other government services to be availed by citizens of India. Karnataka Government has taken one more major step for the registration process of the Aadhar UID.

With Aadhar UID project getting kicked off in Bengaluru, there has been much confusion on how to register, where to register and documents to be carried at the Venue. Citizens have been going around with Post office and there were also some third party agencies who have setup their office for the registration of UID.
Some of the facts that as citizen of Bengaluru I have come across:
I visited third party center and they were registering people for UID, however, they did not have registration forms with them. When I visited the post office, the date that they offered me was 2011 November for the registration process. No forms were given and were not accepting the forms that were available as downloadable from online aadhar website. Many people had no idea what documents they need and what are the timings they need to be there in order go through the enrollment process. Let me help you on how the process works and what documents you need to carry while visiting the Aadhar registration centre in your locality.
For Proof Of Identity
The Proof of Identity should have your name and photo imprinted on it. You can carry any of the following documents as proof of identity. Passport, PAN Card, Ration/ PDS Card, Voter id card, Driving license, Government photo id, NREGS job card, photo id issued by recognized educational institution, Arms license, photo bank ATM Card, Photo credit card, Pensioner Photo Card, Freedom Fighter Photo card, Address card with name and photo issued by postal department or certificate of photo issued a gazzetted officers.
Proof of Address
Proof of address should have your name and address of the place you are residing. You can carry any of the following documents as proof of address: Passport, Bank Statement, Passbook, Post office account statement/ Passbook, Ration Card, Voter id, Driving license, Government photo id card, Electricity bill, Water Bill, Phone bill, Property tax, Credit card statement (not older than 3 months), Insurance Policy, Signed Letter with photo issued from bank on letter head, Signed letterhead photo to issued by recognized educational institutions, company, NREGS job card and arm license, pension card, freedom fighter card, Certificate of address with photo issued MP/ MLA or group A gazetted officers, Certificate issued by Village Panchayat, authority of rural areas, Income tax assessment order, Vehicle registration certificate, registered sale/ lease. Rent agreement, address card with photo issued by department of posts or caste and domicile certificate with photo issued by State Government.
Date of Birth Documents
Birth Certificate, SSLC Book / Certificate, PAN Card, Passport, Certificate of Birth Issued by Government
