Deccan Chargers is Hyderabad city based team in ipl 2012. Deccan Chronicle corporation bought the team for $107 million and later Group M India share 20% in Deccan Chargers. The team coahed by Darren Lehmann and Sri lanka star player and wicket keeper Kumar Sangakkara is the captain of Deccan Chargers. Deccan Chargers won the second season of 2009.

In 2011 ipl performance, DC (Deccan Chargers) won 6 matches out of 14 and 8 matches lost and team got 7th position. The chargers won one match only in home against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2011.
