Instant hot and spicy wheat soap

This is very useful for patients who are suffering from cold, fever or are on strict diet due to any surgery. Being a vegetarian, the options of special food items is minimum compared to non-vegetarian. The dish which is specified is a famous dish prepared in most of the north Karnataka region. It is an instant dish which can be eaten any time of the day and it is healthy to eat. It is preferred during the winter season as it is served hot and spicy which gives relief to the throat and appetite.



Ingredients:

1> 1 bowl of Wheat flour
2> Thoor dal(1 cup)
3> 6-8 pieces of garlic (paste)
4> 4 tablespoon oil
5> Salt
6> Turmeric powder
7> Sesame seeds
8> Chili powder
9> Green leaves
10> Coriander leaves
11> 1 Jug water


Mix the wheat flour, 1 teaspoon oil, little salt and water to form a dough. Keep it aside. Pour oil into a kadai(deep vessel)and put one tablespoon of sesame seeds when the oil is heated. Add garlic paste and green leaves. Pour 1 jug of water and turmeric powder, chili powder and salt (according to your taste). When the water is boiling, add thoor dal. Let the dal soak a bit. Close the kadai til the water boils. Take the dough and make thick Chapattis and cut the chapattis into small square or diamond shape pieces. Put these pieces into the boiling soup and close the kadai for the pieces to soften. If you wish to keep the soup more thin, you can add more water.

Serve the hot and spicy wheat soup to a bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
