Passport Mela in Bengaluru

The passport mela was held in 5 places across Karnataka state and it was happy day from many of the applicants, who did not have time or were not able to submit their applications. This Passport Mela has received a good response and Government plans to have more Mela going forward.

The first passport mela in Bangalore was a successfull with about 1400+ application being accepted on day 1 and which will continue on the Sunday also.

Citizens of Bangalore lined up starting at 4 am at the passport office and the process of submitting, verification and issueing of receipts was smooth. The Passport Mela was conducted at :

Passport Head Office, Koramangala

Passport Seva Kendra, LalBagh

Passport Seva Kendra, Marathahalli

Passport Seva Kendra, Mangalore

Passport Seva Kendra, Hubli.

It took only few minutes for the procedure to be completed on all the process of the passport submission. It was Kudos to the official who has handled the whole process systematically with no chaos among the citizens.

With the success of the Passport Mela, Department is planning to start more such Mela in the coming days, which will help the citizens to submit their passport application on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Procedure to be followed for Passport Document Submission

Applicant can fill the new application form physically(available on the passpot website: www.passportindia.gov.in) and visit the passport office or any of the seva Kendra between 10:00 am - 2 pm with all the documnets copy and self attested.

Applicant should carry all the original documents for verification.

No prior appointment is required if you are attending the Passport Mela for submitting passport application.

Application will be accepted in Person, no third party person can submit it.

Fees will be accepted in Cash or DD. If submitting by DD then it should be in favor or Regional Passport Officer, Bangalore.

Tatkal application will not be accepted during the Mela.

Citizens will need to follow the queue systems and wait till their turn comes up. Once the Government official are satisfied with the documents submitted by you with the fees and one colour photograph. They will issue a receipt and allocate a number generated by database.
